Pinot Grigio – Santa Margherita

I previously posted about the red wine served at amazing Artful Dodgers. And now they have a new delightful Pinot Grigio.

The moment they showed me the bottle, I knew it was going to be good, as I have previously tested the magnificent Cuveé Pinot also Santa Margherita. I wasn’t wrong.

Soft in colour and smell, but matching perfectly that delicious Parmesan Chicken they have.  It is a highly layered wine, grapes, guavas and a touch of peaches at the end. Fruity at the beginning, sour in the middle and the end left a little bitterness. So, as I said,  it is very well layered.

Fruitiness : 3.8/5

Sourness : 3.8/5

Sweetness : 2.8/5

Style: light- medium

Body : 3/10

Found in: Artful Dodgers

[Note: Fruitiness, sourness and Sweetness, are a white wine characteristics, they do not define the quality of a wine]

The overall SunShower rating is:

3.9/5

I can assure you it matches perfectly the delicious parmesan mushroom and chicken pasta he used to cook for me. And sometimes with just a little chocolate it would be great. But that was then and my perception of wine has changed now.
